Clinging to a 5-point lead at the start of fourth quarter, Friday Harbor held regional 1A rival Nooksack Valley to just 10 points in the final period of play to clinch a 64-51 victory at home, Wednesday, and advance into the next round post-season play.
The Wolverines will open post-season play at home, Wednesday, hosting Nooksack Valley in the first round of the District 1 playoffs in a "loser out" contest; Tip off is 5 p.m. in Turnbull Gym.
The 9th Annual Salmon Classic Invitational hosted 85 boats and 293 anglers. A total of 55 fish were weighed-in Friday, Feb. 3, and 38 fish were weighed-in Saturday, Feb. 4, and $25,000 worth of cash prizes were awarded.

The 8th Annual Frank Wilson Memorial Winter Blackmouth Derby runs Feb. 1 - April 15. Weigh-in must be done at King’s Market Meat Department by 5 p.m. daily and by 3 p.m. on the final day. There will be weekly prizes for the largest fish of each week.
