Sponsored as part of Soroptimists International's America's Live Your Dream Initiative, the day-long seminar includes five workshops; "Money Magic", "Pulling a Job out of a Hat", "Presto Chango", "Confidence Wizardry", and "The Amazing Mind", all led by local professionals in each workshop-related field.

The Friday Harbor chapter of Soroptimists International is sponsoring a free one-day seminar designed to assist women in improving their life skills, with an emphasis on finances, education and employment.

Entitled “Practical Magic 4 Life”, the seminar is Feb. 9, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the San Juan Center campus of Skagit Valley College (near the airport); lunch is included, registration required.

Sponsored as part of Soroptimists International’s America’s Live Your Dream Initiative, the seminar includes a series of five workshops; “Money Magic” (managing finances ad housing), “Pulling a Job out of a Hat” (job hunting locally and online), “Presto Chango” (putting your best self forward), “Confidence Wizardry” (managing anxiety in the face of change), and “The Amazing Mind” (how to grow to your potential).

Billed as interactive sessions, the workshops will be presented by Carrie Brooks and Nancy DeVaux (Money Magic), Minnie Kynch (Pulling a Job out of a Hat), Dana Bune (Presto Chango), Peg LeBlanc, Patty Brightman and Kim Bryan (Confidence Wizardry), and Randy Martin (Amazing Mind).
