San Juans’ fine-feathered friends of winter featured in Audubon field trip

Bird enthusiasts of all levels are encouraged to join in Saturday's field trip—beginners and novices, in particular. Plenty of veteran birders will be on hand to offer expertise about the sights, sounds and species spotted along the way.

With the annual spring migration just around the corner, there’s no better time than now to get a look at and to learn about the San Juans’ many ducks, raptors, shorebirds and swans… before they’re up, up and away.

The wonderful world of the archipelago’s wintering species will take center-stage in the San Juan Audubon Society’s upcoming field trip on San Juan Island, Saturday, Feb. 7.

Bird enthusiasts of all levels are encouraged to join the trip—beginners and novices, in particular. Plenty of veteran birders will be on hand offer expertise about the sights, sounds and species spotted along the way.
