Meet Booba – Pet of the Week

Submitted by the Animal Protection Society

– Friday Harbor.

Oh hello there, my name is Booba.

As you may be able to tell from my slow gait, I am a man of a certain age; what some may call “old”, and sure, yes “old”, but I also like to say that at my age I am “well-lived” or “well-worn.” If what you’re looking for someone of a refined age, then look no further than the Senior Suite at APS-FH!

There are a few things you need to know about me right off the bat; I have high blood pressure, I’m semi-blind*, and semi-deaf*, but here are some other Booba things you should know; I like to use my voice; I’m a heavy sleeper; despite what some people might think of as limitations, I like how fine-tuned my sense of smell is now, after losing my vision and hearing; once I’ve had a chance to figure out my surrounds, I warm up and can be a big love!

I guess what I’m really trying to say is that I’ve lived a good, long, life so far, and I’m looking to find someone who will help me live out the rest of my years just as happily as my first 15!

If you’re my person, you know where to find me.

*I say “semi” here because the humans don’t know exactly how blind or deaf I am, and I’m not sure I’ll ever tell them.
