FH’s Franklin stars at SJCT Summer Night Concert Series

Rhiana Franklin takes a break from workingon a debut EP album in Nashville to perform in her hometown as part of San Juan Community Theatre’s Summer Night Music Concert Series, Thursday, Aug. 2.

Rhiana Franklin has been busy with guitar and pen since her knock-out performance two years ago at the county Fair. And she has been even busier in pursuit of a musical career since graduating from Friday Harbor High earlier this year.

Franklin, 17, will take a break from working in Nashville on a debut EP album to perform in her hometown as part of San Juan Community Theatre’s Summer Night Music Concert Series, Thursday, Aug. 2.

Music begins in the Gubelman Theatre at 8 p.m., preceded by “social hour” in the Steele Memorial Garden, beginning at 7 p.m., with beer, wine and chocolate desserts available for purchase). Seating is limited to 50; tickets are $10. For info, 378-3210, or www.sjctheatre.org.
