Spirit of holiday giving is evident on San Juan

During my five years here, my heart has never failed to be warmed by the many Letters to the Editor that praise the solicited and unsolicited generosity of our island members. That giving spirit was never more evident than on Dec. 8 at the Medical Guild’s annual Christmas Luncheon and Auction.

That giving spirit was never more evident than on Dec. 8 at the Medical Guild’s annual Christmas Luncheon and Auction.

I would like to publicly thank the San Juan Golf and Country Club for their great venue and delicious meal; the “Christmas Cookie Ladies,” who every year bring numerous platefuls of fabulous edibles to be bought by us less talented; Anne Benedict, guild president, for her hard work and constant cheerfulness, and especially this year, for her adorable cadre of bears; and the guild members and their guests, who brought and bought so willingly a wonderful selection of auction items.

I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful place.
