Fundraiser for ER nurse

Our community has always been one that rallies together in times of need, and now, one of our own needs us. Kelley Caudill, a devoted single mother of three, sister, daughter, friend and dedicated Peace Island Emergency Room nurse, has spent years caring for others in their most critical moments. Not long ago, on her way to work at the San Juan Island emergency room, she was in a tragic car accident. Her car was hit and rolled over twice with airbags that did not deploy and she sustained multiple injuries. Kelley had 13 fractures throughout her body, including neck, spine, broken rib, broken tailbone and multiple fractures in her pelvis plus numerous other injuries. Kelley faces a long road to recovery, mounting medical expenses and lost wages. She is slowly healing but the future is uncertain and she needs the island’s support to help with immediate costs.

To help Nurse Kelley and show her the love she has so freely given to others, a group of island women have come together to organize fundraising efforts. We invite our entire community to donate to Kelley’s medical expenses. Any amount will be kindly appreciated. You can contribute to the Banner Bank account under the name “Kelley Caudill Medical Fund” or at GoFundMe.com under the same name. There is a website with more information so please visit www.Benefit4Kelley.com for details.

Our island community is dependent on our first responders so now it is time for us to step up for one of theirs. Islanders helping islanders.
