Engagement: Guard & Markel

Melissa Markel and Blake Guard are elated to announce their engagement.

Melissa is the daughter of Marc and Mimi Markel of Houston, Texas, and Blake is the son of Rex and Lisa Guard of Friday Harbor, Wash.

Both Melissa and Blake recently graduated with masters degrees in  biomedical sciences. Melissa is currently in her first year of veterinary school and Blake in pursuing a Ph.D at Texas A&M University.

A summer 2015 wedding is planned.
