Friday Harbor’s tracksters took four firsts and seven seconds in a league track meet Thursday at Concrete.

The Wolverines were one of six teams competing at the March 29 meet.

“I’m really proud of their efforts,” coach Darrin Scheffer said of the team.

Senior Lucas Jagel won both the 400 meter run and the discus, notching season personal bests in both events—55.35 seconds in the 400M, 106 feet in the discus.

Senior Mandy Turnbull also turned in two season best performances, winning the women’s 100 meter hurdles in 18.24 seconds and the 300 meter hurdles in 55.3 seconds.

Junior Jose Guerrero placed second in both the 800 meter (2:22) and the 1600 meter (5:09) races, both personal bests. Junior Jerray Napier finished second in the 100 meter sprint (11.82),  and in the high jump (5’1”). Aaron Prager, also a junior, placed second in the long jump at 17’4”.

Sophomore Alaina Scheffer also scored a personal best in the women’s Javelin, placing second with a throw of 81 feet.
