Orcas resident arrested; found with meth, heroin

At about 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 9, San Juan County Sheriff’s deputies made a traffic stop on Mt. Baker Road on Orcas resident Justin Langworthy. Langworthy was a suspect in a reported drug deal the day before. Langworthy has multiple felony drug warrants out of California as well as a suspended driver’s license. He was placed under arrest for the warrants and driving with a suspended license. Langworthy was then searched and found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. He was taken into custody and transported to San Juan Island where he is being held on his warrants and pending drug charges.

A search warrant was applied for and signed by the judge for Langworthy’s car. Upon execution of the warrant, large quantities of methamphetamines, heroin, scales, packaging items and a large amount of cash were recovered from the car. Langworthy is currently being held pending a hearing the San Juan County Superior Court.
