Two ride for price of one on Scenic Byway shuttle

Visitors traveling the San Juan Islands Scenic Byway can leave their cars behind and ride two for the price of one on the island-based shuttle bus. Save money and precious vacation time by traveling in an eco-friendly fashion.

Sign up to receive your free companion Byway Explorer Day Pass for Orcas Island and San Juan Island shuttles, a $15 value, at www.visitsanjuans.com. Starting on Solstice weekend and running through the Labor Day weekend (June 22 through September 3, 2012), Orcas Island shuttle bus service will be available Friday through Monday.

Travelers can download the schedule and pick-up sites at http://www.sanjuantransit.com. Daily service will be offered during the week of July 4th. Pick-up sites include the ferry landing, Deer Harbor, Orcas Golf, Eastsound, Rosario Resort and Moran State Park.

San Juan Island shuttle bus service begins June 9 and  runs through Labor Day. Daily service is offered from the Friday Harbor ferry landing to the San Juan Islands Museum of Art Sculpture Park, Krystal Acres Alpacas, Roche Harbor and the trailhead of San Juan Island National Historical Park at English Camp.  Another route offers hourly service to Lime Kiln Point State Park (also known as Whale Watch Park) and Pelindaba Lavender.  The schedule can be downloaded at http://www.sanjuantransit.com.
