Trustee position available on Board of San Juan Island Library

The Board of Trustees is seeking candidates to fill a vacancy on the five-member library board. The non-paid term of office is a partial term from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025, and the trustee is eligible for reappointment to a full five-year term. Recommendation will be submitted by the current Board of Trustees, and the appointment made by the San Juan County Council.

The San Juan Island Library is in a dynamic time of library service. The Library and its staff evolved to provide creative library services to patrons during COVID-19, and continue to successfully offer an exciting mix of hybrid and in-person services and dynamic programs to patrons of all ages. This year, the trustees’ main focuses will be on funding the operations of the current library and continuing a future library building project.
