On Nov. 3, 12 p.m., the San Juan County Arts Council members will elect an official board of directors.

For two years, a steering committee has held meetings and in October they will compile a slate of candidates to be presented for ratification on Nov. 3.

Candidates from all islands and backgrounds and disciplines, businesses and organizational interests can email a brief description of your interest and experience to info@sanjuanartscouncil.org no later than Sept. 19.

Board members serve from one to three years and must attend monthly meetings either in person or by technology as well as contribute financially or by serving on committees.
