Step into 19th century San Juan Island with National Historical Park Staff

History is alive on San Juan Island from now until Aug. 25 at American and English Camps, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturdays. Look for a schedule of events at www.nps.gov/sajh.

As attendees step into the 19th century at the English Camp and American Camp, they’ll find period blacksmithing, cooking, wood carving, laundress, beading and soldier demonstrations throughout the grounds.
