Come one, come all to the third annual Great Island Giveaway at Mullis Community Senior Center on Saturday, Oct. 30, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

It’s fun and it’s free.

Bring in those treasures you no longer use and exchange them for something you need. The rules are simple: Check in your donations between 10:30 and 11:55 a.m. Donors receive one ticket for each item until the bell rings at noon. Donors then “spend” one ticket for any item on display. Tickets cannot be purchased; you must donate items to get tickets. No exchanges, swaps or set-asides of goods before the noon bell.

Donations must be in good, clean working order. Look around and let your imagination take flight: kitchen appliances, backpacks, books, framed art, games, gardening tools, lamps, toys and vases. However, clothes, shoes, TVs, computers, cellular phones or other outdated electronics will not be accepted. Furniture and similar large items may be considered, but the donor is responsible for removal if the item is left over at the end of the event.

The doors open for check-in at 10:30. Socialize with your friends and neighbors and enjoy a fresh cup of Café Feminino coffee and baked goods while you check out incoming treasures until the noon bell.
