Shirley S. Potter | Passages

Shirley S. Potter passed away peacefully at home Jan. 31. Shirley was born in Two Rivers, Wis., in 1920. She graduated from Oshkosh Teachers College in 1942. She married Robert M. Potter in 1952. She taught in Wisconsin and Alaska until her retirement in 1974.

Shirley S. Potter passed away peacefully at home Jan. 31.

Shirley was born in Two Rivers, Wis., in 1920. She graduated from Oshkosh Teachers College in 1942. She married Robert M. Potter in 1952. She taught in Wisconsin and Alaska until her retirement in 1974.

Shirley and Robert retired to Friday Harbor enjoyed island living. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband. She was an active member of the Friday Harbor community for the last 35 years. She will be missed by many family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Feb. 5, 1 p.m., at Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church.
