Second Annual Lopez Uncovered Music Festival

Submitted by the San Juan Makers Guild.

Second Annual Lopez Uncovered Music Festival, Sat., Aug. 13. Come join us for the second annual Lopez Uncovered Music Festival and bask in 15 sets of original music from Lopez Island. Our community is full of amazing musical talent. Join us at the Lopez Center outdoor main lawn to enjoy this special gift that is uniquely our own and share it with island visitors alike. The festival is open 11 a.m-10 p.m. Along with a constant supply of music through two alternating stages, this year we will be welcoming a Lopez Makers Pavilion with local creators’ art and food offerings, sponsored by the San Juan Makers Guild. We will also once again have interactive morning workshops, a kid’s program, crafts (including the popular button making), local non-profit information, cotton candy, shaved ice, food trucks, and a beer garden. The Poutine Your mouth food truck and Beer Garden will be open for business starting at 11 a.m. Saturday as we set up for the rest of the festival. The workshop starts at 11 a.m. On the Friday night before the festival, we will kick the weekend off by highlighting the funky sounds of our Salish Sea brothers from Anacortes, Ebb, Slack and Flood to the stage, along with Poutine and libations from the beer garden.

Music. Art. Food. Dancing. Beer. And Fun!
