San Juan Islands Museum of Art is raising money to keep Family Art Days free. Family Art Days (FAD) at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art is a free, fun art education program intended to give children the opportunity to create a hands-on art project with an adult family member(s), adult friend, or mentor.

Each year SJIMA hosts 32 family art days and provides over 500 participants with free art materials and instruction to bring children and adults together around a creative project. You can read more on our website about the program.

SJIMA is raising money for Family Art Days as part of the San Juan Island Community Foundation’s 2023 County Fair Giving Campaign. All funds raised will go to provide materials and instruction.

To be eligible for matching funds, donations to SJIMA Family Art Days must be made during the four days of the 2023 County Fair – Aug. 16–19. Donors can contribute in person at the SJICF fair booth, online at www.sjicf.org/fair, by phone to SJICF at 360-378-1001, or by mailing a check payable to SJICF (dated between Aug. 16–19) with San Juan Islands Museum of Art in the memo line to P.O. Box 1352, Friday Harbor, WA 98250. The Community Foundation will grant the raised funds to FHDS following the County Fair.
