Purple Power: Pelindaba to host 13th annual Lavender Festival

Find out why lavender has a seemingly endless number of uses and applications at San Juan Island's 13th annual Lavender Festival, hosted by Pelindaba Lavender Farm, Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20.

From the fields to finished product, you can find out all about the uniques qualities of lavender, its cultivation and its seemingly endless number of uses and applications as part of San Juan Island’s 13th annual Lavender Festival.

Hosted by Pelindaba Lavender Farm, Saturday and Sunday, July 19-20, the festival offers exhibits, tours, demonstrations, food, live marimba musical performances, massages, arts and crafts, and more, like a kids treasure hunt. Festival-goers can stroll through the fields of lavender, picnic on the grounds and harvest a bouquet of certified organic lavender all their own.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., each day, at the lavender farm, at the intersection of Hawthorne Lane and Wold Road.
