On Book! stages ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf’

“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf”, in the next installment of San Juan Community Theatre’s free “On Book! Readers Theatre” series

Director Tony Vivenzio and a cast of four local actors tackle Edward Albee’s Tony-award winning drama, “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf”, in the next installment of San Juan Community Theatre’s free “On Book! Readers Theatre” series.

Admission is free for the Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 performances; doors open at 6:30 p.m., with festival seating.

Perhaps best remembered in the Hollywood black-and-white film starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, the drama centers around the bitter and frustrated relationship of a middle-aged couple, Martha and George, and its impact on an unwitting younger couple, Nick and Honey, at an after-hours get-together following a faculty party.

The two upcoming performances star Dorian Oliver, Lynda Guernsey, Doug Schirmer and Grace Castle.
