‘My Fair Lady’ will conclude with an audience sing-along; play is getting rave reviews

It’s the final four for San Juan Community Theatre’s spring musical, Lerner and Loewe’s “My Fair Lady.” The play completes its 10-performance run Thursday through Sunday, with the final performance on Sunday a chance for audience members to join in a sing-along.

Director Susan Williams said Sunday’s play will be performed as usual. but lyrics will be given out and musical directors will be standing by to lead the audience during “Loverly,” “Little Bit of Luck,” “On the Street Where You Live,” “I Could Have Danced All Night” and “Get Me To The Church on Time.”

“This is going to be a lot of fun,” Williams said.

Thursday through Saturday’s curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s performance begins at 2 p.m.

“You will have to travel to New York and still not see a show this well done,” Pam and Wally Gillette wrote. “The sets are impressive, the costumes breath-taking and, of course, the acting, singing and dancing are outstanding.

“The leads, Desi and Dan, are fabulous as are each and every member of the supporting cast. This show is a must see.”

The business partner for “My Fair Lady” is King’s Market. Tickets Thursday through Saturday are $22 for adults, $11 student reserved, $5 student RUSH at the door. Sunday’s matinee is $16 for adults, $8 student reserved.
