Next up in the series of National Theatre Live in HD broadcasts, San Juan Community Theatre offers up a production the London’s Evening Standard has dubbed… “a beautiful, eloquent, dazzlingly inventive show about the wonders of life.”

Based on the acclaimed novel by Mark Haddon, adapted by Simon Stephens and directed by Marianne Elliott, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” is the winner of no less than seven Olivier Awards in 2013, including Best New Play.

It airs at the Community Theatre, in high-definition, Monday, May 26, beginning at 7 p.m.

The play centers on 15-year-old Christopher, who has an extraordinary brain – exceptional at math while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion of killing Mrs. Shears’ dog, Wellington, he records each fact about the event in the book he is writing to solve the mystery of the murder.

But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.
