The San Juan Island Library, in partnership with the San Juan Islands Museum of Art, is excited to announce the creation of a new local digital collection commemorating the 34th Annual Artists’ Studio Tour. This collection gathers an image of artwork from more than 100 emerging and established artists’ works fill the galleries of the San Juan Islands Museum of Art. The scope of their creations includes sculpture, textiles, painting, glass, woodwork, printmaking, pastels, photography, metalwork, drawing, encaustic, pottery, mixed media, assemblage, digital art, jewelry and more. Visitors can expect a true panorama of styles and approaches—reflecting the diversity, innovation, and heart of our island community. It is currently on display now until Feb. 23 at the San Juan Islands Museum of Art

The new library collection can be viewed on the Library’s Biblioboard page, or by using this direct link: https://sjlib.biblioboard.com/anthology-collection/sjiart/sjima25. Both the SJI Library and the SJI Museum of Art are excited to continue this partnership in future years.

The Library is excited to add this collection to its growing catalog of local art and culture. “It is an amazing example of our islands’ creative culture,” said Anthony Morris, Assistant Director of the SJI Library. “As you walk through the Artists’ Registry show, you get a sense of the breadth and depth of our creativity and passion. I’m excited that we can preserve this show as a digital collection, and make it available for many years to come!” To see the range of local digital collections the library has available, please visit: sjlib.org/creators-circle/.
