The board of Leadership San Juan Islands is pleased to announce the selection of Lee C. Taylor as Program Director for LSJI’s Cohort XVII. Lee retired from a 35-year career with the National Park Service in 2021 and returned to San Juan Island, where she served as the Superintendent of San Juan Island National Historical Park from 2011-2015. Lee continues to contribute to the community through volunteer work with the San Juan Community Theatre, Friday Harbor Film Festival and she serves on the Board of Directors for Northwest Youth Corps.
While in her position with the Park Service, Lee participated in Cohort X and assisted with instruction and coordination of the program for the following two years. “LSJI offered me a great opportunity to explore and understand the various aspects of San Juan County while learning with other islanders. I forged longstanding relationships with folks from all the islands and I look forward to bringing this opportunity to our next cohort.”
Register online to join one of Leadership San Juan Islands’ informational Zoom Calls scheduled for July and early August. The deadline for applying is Aug. 25. The program runs from November 2025 through April 2026. Information and an online application are available at www.lsji.org.
