Sixty-five children age 5-15 participated in the annual Junior Golf Clinic, June 21-23, at San Juan Golf and Country Club.

Club pro Darren Black, assistant pro golf coach Bill Hart, golf coach Jack Rice, and golf club staff member Jamie Rice led the instruction.

For many of the new golfers, it was their first time on the course. “We keep everything simple and have some fun,” Jack Rice said.

After three days of instruction in how to chip, pitch, putt and swing, the golfers put their skills to the test in a parent/junior scramble. The juniors teed off at 100 yards.

All in all, it was a great time on the course.

“I wish we had something like this when I was a kid,” Hart said.
