Susan Williams’ final bow is 90 days away.

The artistic director of San Juan Community Theatre for the past two years, Williams recently submitted her resignation, effective May 1.

Citing personal reasons for the pending departure, Williams intends to focus more of her energy on family, art, acting and directing. After more than two decades as a theatre volunteer and veteran performer, Williams joined SJCT as artistic director in 2012.

Her list of accomplishments is long.

“The revitalization of our theatre is, for me, a source of great personal pride” she said. “My hope is that the ground work has been laid for an exciting future.”

A search for her replacement is in progress.
