Children’s Festival 2019 theme and poster contest

Mark your calendars, folks. San Juan Island’s 29th Annual Children’s Festival is Saturday, May 4, and Island Rec needs your help to design the poster for this year’s theme: “I am Super.”

Kids of all ages are invited to submit poster designs that incorporate this year’s festival theme. We aim to empower children to see the incredible and heroic abilities we all have inside of us. We very much look forward to seeing how you incorporate “I Am Super” into your artwork.

Posters must be submitted on an official entry form can be obtained at Island Rec’s office or at the elementary school. Poster designs must be returned to Island Rec, 580 Guard St., by 5 p.m. on Wednesday March 26, to be considered by our contest judges. In addition to the honor and title of “Official Poster Designer,” there will be one first-place prize and three runner up prizes given for the committees top choices in poster design.
