Cheesecake Cafe and Bakery’s grand opening is May 1. A ribbon cutting with the mayor will be at 10 a.m., with champagne to follow. Sample sweets and enter to win door prizes throughout the day. There will be music, a reading by Susan Wingate and a knit in, and a special, surprise activity from 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. The cafe is located at 1 Spring Street, on the waterfront.
