Best of the Fest announces February films

Friday Harbor Film Festival’s 2022 BEST OF THE FEST continues to offer award-winning documentaries throughout February. Each week during February an audience-choice favorite feature film and short film, as well as the winning student films, will be available on demand on the website, www.fhff.org. Filmmaker Q&As recorded during the 2021 festival are available free throughout the month.

Tickets are available online. Each week’s feature/short film combination costs only $2.95. To support feature filmmakers, they will receive half of this fee.

February 5-11

Feature – Whale Talk + Q&A (Volker Barth), sponsored by Friday Harbor Grand

February 12-18

February 19-25

Feature – Zero Gravity + Q&A (Thomas Verrette), sponsored by Café Demeter, Explorers & Adventures Feature Film Award winner.

Shorts – FOCUS ON STUDENT FILMS: Nisqually Moving Forward Caleb Jacobson); The Living Sea (Ema Poposka), Student Film Award for Ages 13-17 winner; Out of Mind (Angelica Rosario), Student Film Award for Ages 18-26 winner; Sea Beyond the Glitz (Anna Maité Kaplan).
