This is the last year to do all the things I wanted to accomplish in my 50s, so look out world

Friends, here I am at a serious crossroad! Today is one year since my life was change (not stopped), thank God. Today is also officially my retirement from VanderYacht Propane. I have never been without a job since 1962, so it does hit me as an adjustment. They gave me a wonderful opportunity to challenge my abilities and convictions, but I must finally admit that they deserve a full-bodied person and I will focus on self-advancement of getting back to normal. I'm not giving up, just shifting gears.

I’m not giving up, just shifting gears.

Yesterday, I turned 59. Yeah, I can hardly believe it either. My goal? This is the last year to do all the things I wanted to accomplish in my 50s, so look out world! I have five months to be careful (in January, I am eligible for Medicare).

Note to all you health people: insurance will only cover you for a while, then they review your coverage (audit) to determine if they can continue. You will be allowed 325 points if you have minimal health problems and the premium goes up accordingly. I got cancelled in May when I got a 555 score and the premium went to $1,700 month. Yikes!

More plans: keep writing, learn Quickbooks, paint again (as a lefty), volunteer pogo lessons, learn to jog, smile at more …

Well, it won’t hurt me a bit to be careful for five months, will it? I’ll keep ya posted. Thanks for your thoughts and support!
