I wanted to send Jack Pedigo a short message in response to his Letter to the Editor (“Bias for weapons shown in a word?” Oct. 8, pg. 6).

I looked in the phone book but he’s not there—probably has one of those darned cellphones (We need a phone book for cell phones, folks). I was going to thank him for having the courage to publicly state his beliefs about keeping guns out of the hands of the wrong people.

Also, a “Thank you” to Janet Thomas about voting Yes for the EMS folks. As an 86-year-old, I’m personally grateful. It’s all about doing the right thing.
