    We would like to update the community on the status of Ballot Tracker, which defies state and federal law by linking your name to your ballot’s serial number barcode, permitting officials and vendors to know how you vote, and facilitating election rigging through its un-certified, corruptible “audit.”

    Whitney Porter scored her 23rd, 24th, 25th and 26th goals of the season to help lead the Wolverines to a first-round soccer district playoff win Wednesday against Coupeville. The Wolverines, who finished the regular season 9-1 league, 10-5 overall, defeated Coupeville 4-2. They could advance to the tri-district tournament Nov. 5 with a win against Meridian at Whatcom Community College. Win or lose, Friday Harbor plays Saturday at Oak Harbor High School against a to-be-determined opponent.

    A Portland man en route to the San Juan Islands on vacation had a heart attack on the Sealth Tuesday afternoon as the ferry was preparing to leave Anacortes for the San Juans. David Kinzer died later in the Island Hospital emergency room, according to Evans Funeral Chapel in Anacortes.

    There have been numerous reports of campaign signs being stolen on the islands. Sheriff Bill Cumming has this message: Stealing signs is illegal and violators will be prosecuted. And if you take a sign off of someone’s property, you can expect a trespassing charge tacked on to your theft charge.
