Learn about the Constitution, the Supreme Court and the Executive branch with Professor Garrett Epps

Submitted by Indivisible San Juan Islands

Indivisible San Juan Islands is pleased to announce our upcoming guest speaker, Garrett Epps. Professor Epps, a nationally renowned Constitutional scholar, law professor, podcaster, and journalist, formerly with The Atlantic and now with the Washington Monthly, will provide perspective on current events involving the Supreme Court and the Executive Branch.

In the first 100 days in office, President Trump issued 137 executive orders, and now many more, resulting in 227 lawsuits challenging them. Professor Epps will explore the constitutional context of this historic time and help us understand what it means to all of us.

Epps has been a Supreme Court correspondent. He has been published in leading law journals and taught at the American University, Boston College, University of Baltimore, and the University of Oregon, where he is now Professor of Practice.

We encourage you to join a thoughtful discussion following Professor Epps’ presentation. We recognize the importance of remaining connected and informed as a community regarding these critical legal issues.
