Mama Mia! offers local artists a venue

More than a dozen artists, members of The Friday Harbor Atelier, will be showing their work in the lobby of The San Juan Island Community Theatre during the run of “Mama Mia!” from Nov. 5-21.

There will be an artists’ reception in the lobby of the theatre, Tuesday, Nov. 9 from 5-7 p.m. Visitors will have a chance to view the artwork and meet the artists while enjoying light refreshments.

The Friday Harbor Atelier was established in 2020 by local artist Debbie Daniels. Located next to the bowling alley and behind Waterworks Gallery, the Atelier has eight private studios and over a dozen members. The atelier also has a gallery space that is used for individual shows and workshops.
