Those who stepped into Brickworks on Dec. 4 through Dec. 6, were transported to a Christmas bazaar of food, crafts and music. The San Juan Islands Agricultural Guild organized the Old-Fashioned Christmas Market in Brickworks’ third year of operation.

It included the San Juan Island Farmers Market, tractor rides with Santa and gingerbread house decorating. There were 51 vendors on Saturday and Sunday and 10 live musicians.

Organizer Candace Jagel said hundreds of people attended the event.

“I’m deeply grateful for how the event came together,” said Jagel. “It was a community effort.”
