Alan Henry "Micky" Minsch 91, passed away in Chehalis, Wash. Alan moved to Friday Harbor after the war. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific. After arriving in Friday Harbor, he met and married school teacher Lois Wehrly. Alan worked for San Juan Ag.

Alan Henry “Micky” Minsch 91, passed away in Chehalis, Wash.

Alan moved to Friday Harbor after the war. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific. After arriving in Friday Harbor, he met and married school teacher Lois Wehrly. Alan worked for San Juan Ag. 

He and Lois had five children before leaving Friday Harbor for Boise, Idaho and on to Alaska where Alan worked for the FAA. Upon retirement, Alan and Lois moved back to Friday Harbor, then Soap Lake. In later years, they returned to Friday Harbor. 

Alan was preceded in death by his mother, Frances, and son, Michael. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois; sons Patrick and Timothy of Alaska; daughter Kelli of Idaho; and son Kevin of Washington.
