On April 18 the Town adopted Ordinance No. 1794, increasing the monthly base and service fees charged to customers for trash and recycling services.

The average customer base fees will increase from $4.00 to $4.50 per month and $8.00 to $9.00 per can for trash as a result of the increase.

This fee change is needed to cover inflation and the anticipated increase in tipping fees that will go into effect countywide. A minor rate adjustment for compactor base fees took place in 2023. No other rate adjustments have occurred since 2014.

Pursuant to RCW 35.21.157, the public is informed that the following rates take effect July 1:

Base – Residential $4.00 $4.50

Base – Compactor $144.25 $156.05

Garbage [32 Gallon Can] $8.00 $9.00

Grease [5 Gallon Sealed Container] $4.00 $4.50

Dumpster – Small [1 Yard] $50.00 $55.00

Dumpster – Medium [1 ½ Yard] $75.00 $82.50

Dumpster – Large [2 Yard] $100.00 $110.00

Cardboard [Bundle] $1.50 $2.50

Yardwaste [32 Gallon Can] $2.00 $2.50
