Volunteer at the lavender festival

Submitted by the Pelindaba Lavender Festival

This is an invitation to both join us for some great fun (two events in this email) and to volunteer. This coming weekend is the exciting Annual Pelindaba Lavender Festival on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Please come join the fun – it’s free!

This event is also providing a fundraising opportunity for the benevolent non-profit Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Foundation, which serves not just San Juan County but also Skagit County and Northern Whidbey Island.

Wolf Hollow will be running the Libations Tent for the Lavender Festival, serving and selling donated wine, beer & cocktails and we are looking for volunteers to set up, pour, mix, charge and break down. The shifts are currently listed at two hours but with enough volunteers, those can be shortened if desired.

You and your friends can sign up here www.signupgenius.com/go/8050948acaa2ca7f58-lavender. It is a great opportunity to have a wonderful day among the lavender and artists and displays and entertainment while donating a short bit of your time to help Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Because we have Lavender Gin for our cocktails, if you have mixing/bartending experience, we imagine later day – rather than morning- would be an ideal shift. Then again, I’ve heard from several people not to rule out mixing in the morning.

Wolf Hollow and Pelindaba Lavender Festival would also like to thank these generous donors so far including:

Mike’s Wine Bar

Orcas Island Winery

San Juan Brewery

San Juan Island Distillery

Be aware that Wolf Hollow will be holding a fun action-packed evening “Fundraising Fete Party” on Friday, Aug. 9, also at the Pelindaba Lavender Farm, so get your tickets early!
