Submitted by Islanders Vintage Cinema

There is a new movie theater in town that only shows the classics.

Islanders Vintage Cinema, at the Surina Business Park Ste. 705, screens movies Wednesday through Sunday in a cozy theater room with a fireplace. The business park is located at 50 Malcolm St. in Friday Harbor.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office, which opens at 6:45 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays, or at the door. They are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors. Staff serves popcorn and coffee. There is also a comedy and poetry open session from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays, where participants should bring their own mic, and there is a $3 cover.
