Island artist Nancy Spaulding explores edges at community theater show

Submitted by Spaulding Studios

Island artist Nancy Spaulding’s paintings will be featured at the San Juan Community Theatre lobby throughout October.

In a series of recent works, Spaulding explores edges as both a visual outline of subject and, more deeply, where things begin and end.

She includes both the familiar and the obscure, as in a collection of birdsongs “when does the thrush’s song become the twilight?.”

The show can be viewed during the theater’s box office hours, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or if attending one of the theater productions during October.
