Food boxes for those in need, Christmas events

Submitted by Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church

Christmas Eve

This year, Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday and Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church members have a special treat. Christmas Eve morning, they will have breakfast together provided by Jeff Clark and crew at 10 a.m. in the church’s fellowship hall.

Everyone will have a relaxed time of fellowship together with some carol singing and some time with children. Usual Christmas Eve family service will be at 4:30 p.m. and Christmas Eve communion service will be at 9 p.m. All are welcome to attend these wonderful Christmastime events.

Food boxes

The Friday Harbor Presbyterian Church deacons are getting ready to distribute their annual Christmas food boxes. These have fruits, vegetables, either turkey or ham, treats, dressings and more – the ingredients for a wonderful Christmas meal.

There is absolutely no charge for these boxes. Recipients don’t have to be members of a church.

If you are in need, you can have a box. Supply a name, contact phone number and the number of adults and children in the house so the appropriately sized box can be made.

Call 360-378-4544 to sign up. Box pickup is Saturday, Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Any unclaimed boxes are taken at 1 p.m. to the food bank.

Pass this along to someone else who may need/want a food box during the Christmas holiday. Again, no charge, no strings attached.
