Dance benefit for Island Haven Animal Sanctuary

Join the Island Haven Animal Sanctuary at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 24 or at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 25 for a dance and music performance to benefit the volunteer-run, nonprofit retirement home for farm animals and horses on San Juan Island.

Both shows will feature ballet and modern dance performed by teen and adult Dance Workshop 2 dancers, including ballerina Lydia Downs en pointe partnered by Stephen Moore in a pas de deux from “The Nutcracker;” performance artist Cynthia Church; and professional world-class middle Eastern dancer Ferah Bakuy.

Joining the program will be pianist Stella Joh, on Saturday evening, and cellist Sasha Von Dassow, at the Sunday matinee.

Tickets are $10 each and children under 7 are free. All of the proceeds from ticket prices go towards the cause.
