In Turnbull Gym, Friday, Feb. 6, the Wolverines’ Girls’ team played first, with the Wolves taking an early lead. Friday Harbor had a hard time catching up. During the fourth quarter, the Wolverines had a scoring drive, but not enough to catch and surpass the Wolves. The Wolves took the win with a score of 50-42.
The Wolverines’ Boys’ team had a good match-up with the Coupeville Wolves Boys Varsity. Scoring was really close for both teams going into halftime. Coming out to the third quarter, the Wolverines had a surge in scoring and took the lead. By the fourth quarter, the Wolverines had a 10-point advantage and kept the Wolves at bay to get the win. Wolverines 51 – Wolves 41. This was a league game.
