Wolverines sweep singles; Coupeville wins doubles, and the match | Girls Tennis

The Friday Harbor girls tennis team will host three consecutive matches, April 29, May 1 and May 6, beginning at 4:15 p.m. at the high school tennis courts, before finishing their regular-season schedule on the road, May 8, at Forest Ridge.

The Friday Harbor girls tennis team netted its first two wins of the season, but came up short in the doubles competition in a 4-2 loss on the road Friday, April 24, at Coupeville.

Senior Ashton Timmons, No. 1 singles, and sophomore Yasmin Sarah, No. 2 singles, both split the first two sets of their respective matches and then each prevail 10-8 in the tie-breaker to bag a pair of victories. The Wolves swept four consecutive doubles matches, however, to win the match.
