Both the Friday Harbor High School boys and girls basketball teams wrapped up the tail end of their non-league and conference games leading into the holiday break and the close of2025.
Boys Basketball
Friday Harbor boys basketball had a tough stretch to end 2025 and their non-conference season. The Wolverines dropped three consecutive games. On Dec. 20, Friday Harbor fell just short against Sultan, losing 40–38. The team then traveled to take on Raymond/South Bend on Dec. 29, where they were defeated 55–49. The week concluded at home on Dec. 30 against Forks, with Friday Harbor falling 58–48.
As of Jan. 2, the Wolverines sit at 0-8 and will be searching for their first win in the new year as conference play begins.
Girls Basketball
The Friday Harbor girls basketball team also faced a challenging stretch over the past few weeks. On Dec. 10, the Wolverines played Mt. Baker, falling 53–23, and followed that with a 69–31 loss at Cedar Park Christian on Dec. 12. On Dec. 20, Friday Harbor hosted Sultan and played a much closer game but came up just short, losing 42–37. The team then traveled to Raymond/South Bend on Dec. 29, where they were defeated 66–21, before closing the period at home against Willapa Valley on Dec. 30 with a 48–27 loss.
As of Jan. 2, the Wolverines are 1-7 to start the season and will look to improve heading into their conference slate.
