Racers compete in 8.8K loop run at San Juan County Fair | Update

After 41 years, the 8.8K loop run at the San Juan County Fair brought about 130 racers out on Saturday, Aug. 18. Runners took the Turn-Point-Pear-Point loop to the finish line inside the fairgrounds. One runner had competed in the race for 37 years.

In first place, Nicholas Roberts finished in 31 minutes and 37 seconds, while Victor Capron finished in 33 minutes and 16 seconds and Claire DeVoe finished in 33 minutes and 26 seconds. Medals were given out for age groups after the race.
