Patricia (Pat, Patsy) Joanne Sandwith Orazio passed away peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on Sept. 26, 2019, of complications from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

Patsy was born June 25, 1938, on San Juan Island to Perry “Pat” and Mildred Sandwith. She grew up on San Juan Island and after graduating from Friday Harbor High School she moved to Seattle.

On Sept. 6, 1957, Patsy married the love of her life, Joseph R. Orazio. They lived in the Seattle-Lynnwood area until 1999 and then moved to Ocean Shores, Washington. In 2017 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to be close to their son Joseph and his family.

Patsy was devoted to, and fiercely protective of, her close family and friends, as well as the natural beauty around her.

Patsy is survived by her devoted and loving husband Joseph Orazio; son Joseph P. Orazio (wife Kathleen) and granddaughter; brother Michael C. Sandwith (wife Shari); brother Perry K. Sandwith (wife Sheila); sister-in-law Sharon Sandwith; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by daughter Joanne Orazio Young; father Perry “Pat” Sandwith; mother Mildred L. King Sandwith; brother Colin J. Sandwith; and brother Roger B. Sandwith.
