Laurie Ann Wagner Buck | Passages

May 12, 1962- July 14, 2022

Laurie Ann Buck passed peacefully on Thursday, July 14 with her loving family at her side. She was born on May 12, 1962 in North Platte, Nebraska; the daughter of William and Carole Wagner.

Laurie was a woman of many talents and had a smile that spread for miles. She had a passion for design and arts, she loved spending time with friends and family showering them with the most colorful celebrations. From tiki birthday pool-parties to purple and gold football functions, 4-H events, vacation bible school luncheons and holiday dinners, she always out-did herself. She was a Nebraska girl through and through, she loved the lake, sun tanning, country music and horses. She had a prominent adventurous side; she loved skiing, hiking, vacationing, boating and being outside in nature. She cared for people so deeply and had a great sense of humor with a contagious and authentic laugh we will never forget.

Laurie moved to Friday Harbor in 1986 with her parents and daughter Lindsey. She married Steve Buck at the family ranch on August 22, 1987 on San Juan Island, a beautiful summer day with fishboats, whales, eagles with family and friends all present. Together they raised their four children, Lindsey, Josh, Tanner and Faith. Laurie was a stay-at-home mother who loved volunteering for several functions and was the biggest cheerleader for her kids. She was a long-time member of the Presbyterian Church and The Calvary Chapel. She was also a hospice worker for several years.

She was preceded in death by her father Bill Wagner and niece Brittney Majors. She was survived by her mother Carole Wagner, sister Deb (Bruce Majors), nieces Melody Lucier and Maddie Personne, children Lindsey (Mike Pfluger), Josh Buck, Tanner (Jessica Erickson) Buck, Faith Buck and grandchildren Leon, Chase and Rylee Pfluger.
