Jennifer Lee Prescott, age 62, long-time resident of Friday Harbor, passed away unexpectedly at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on December 30, 2025.
Jennifer was born in Bellevue, Washington on May 21, 1963 to Loren D. and Barbara M. Prescott. She was raised on Mercer Island, graduated from Mercer Island High School and studied at the University of Washington before settling on a career in design. She earned a BFA in Design from the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Following graduation, she worked as an interior design consultant primarily in the senior living industry.
For much of her adult life, Jennifer made her home in Friday Harbor, Washington, and in later years shared that home with her partner, David Tewell. Jennifer was an accomplished snow skier and ski instructor. One of her proudest accomplishments was ten years of service on the resident ski school in Sun Valley, Idaho. She also loved gardening, travel and family – particularly her many nieces and nephews. And she had tremendous affection for her beloved dog Luke, and her many other animals.
Jennifer is survived by her brothers Loren D. Prescott, Jr. (Chip, and his wife Nancy, of Mountain Top, PA) and Brian M. Prescott (of Hailey, ID). She is preceded in death by her father, Loren D. Prescott. Her mother, Barbara M. Prescott, survived her but only for a short time, passing away on January 1, 2026.
