On Sept. 24, community volunteers helped to beautify Friday Harbor for United Way San Juan County’s Day of Caring: planted five new trees by the Friday Harbor High School, weeded the entrance to the Mullis Senior Center, weeded in front of the Friday Harbor Elementary School, and if that wasn’t enough, they also picked up trash at Jackson’s Beach.
